6 weeks and counting

6th July 2011

one stage on from the cast, at least this is removable...Things are slowly returning to normality, I have the plaster off and the physio is grilling me twice weekly now to try and get things on track for the end of the month. A slight problem with the tibialis posterior tendon to the inside of the ankle is making things a little slower than I may have liked but at least now I am able to go swimming, drive and to a certain extent ride again.. I had no idea quite how useless one can be when you only have one leg to go about on. It has really made me appreciate how lucky we are with good health and fitness.

At long last..

With Richard, Niki and Alex in front of Mont BlancThe last month seems to have absolutely flown by. It has been great to get out and about at last with the horses to some shows, even though I don’t feel they are quite ready to be competitive I find a day away really helps to settle their heads and gives plenty of homework!

Trig Point winning the CIC** at Scone 2010, photo by Peak Photography. We are all over the moon that Trig Point ( Jerry ) has been included on the list for the Equine Pathway Scheme 2011. This is the 5th consecutive year that he has been part of this programme and we are looking forward to making the most of the excellent opportunities it offers, including training from the Countries leading coaches. Now all we need is some consistent weather to get all the horses on the right tracks again…

Inishmhor 2006-2010Well… the first post of 2011! Here is a Happy New Year to one and all! It has been slighlty tough times here at NBR Eventing, and with all the festivities well and truly behind us, it would be excellent to report that we are back in full swing, had been out jumping and dressaging and the boys were all on super duper form revving up forth coming year , but alas .. no, now into the 7th consecutive week of interrupted work, all of us here are tearing our hair out.
