NBR Eventing

The team here have gone into semi hibernation with the terrible weather we are all experiencing. We had great plans to keep all the horses in work and get out to lots of indoor shows, but 3 weeks ago, the snow started falling and has been a constant nuisance ever since…!

A great time was had by all at the Event Horse Owners Association Dinner and Awards, and we were delighted that Watt’s Burn’s co-owners Lorna McWilliam and Harry Phillips could join Mum and I, and Philip and Finoula Kerr at our table.It is always great to have an excuse to dress up and get out of the jeans and breeches for a change, have a hair do and polish the nails…

As ever, when Eventing gets even more manic towards the end of the season, there are inevitably a few things that slip a little and I’m afraid our fabulous website was the major one! My efforts in the last few months to update have fallen completely by the wayside so apologies to followers for the lack of comms..

It was the last event of the season and one that was not going to be forgotten easily with the piles of mud we brought home with us and the excellent entertainment that was had!  Lycetts were fabulous sponsors and the whole team at Osberton could not have done more to keep the event going.

I spent a lovely week staying at Kemble, just having 3 horses to work and helping out with last arrangements for the wedding of Niki Rank and Richard Pack, the team at home coping excellently in my absence! Freddy was collected on the Thursday to head to his new home and we had Spike to aim for the CIC* at the weekend.
