There is an extremely well regarded programme run within NBR Eventing for four and five year old horses aiming for National and International Young Horse Championships.
Investing in this area allows supporters to become familiar with the team at a lower level and to be involved at the beginning of a horse’s career, often being a more affordable platform from which to start. Horses can either then be sold on, or with increased levels of participation, be retained to join the more senior squad of horses going on to compete at the top events across the country. Over the last 4years, no fewer than 16 horses have qualified for relevant championships with 7 being placed in the top ten. All are now progressing well as they move up the grades.
